A First Class Service For People Who Enjoy Good Food
Built in 1899, the Park Hotel has retained its warmth and ambience that would ba expected of a Victorian building, intertwined with the elegance and charm of the interior design that is fitting for the era,yet keeping with all the features and luxuries of a modern hotel.
When you first walk through the door, you will look upon the magnificent staircase that as you climb and look up, you will see the light sparkle and shine through the stained glass, making you think that you have stepped back in time.
Situated in the former steel working and mining town of Ebbw Vale, the area is surrounded in history, with so many local attractions to intrigue people of all ages, or if you are more suited to peace and tranquillity then there are many spectacular area's of natural beauty, that have to be seen to be believed and most of these are only a moment away from the Hotel.
With the hotel's proprieters, Mr Mike Holland and Top Chef, Mr Andy Stevens you will always find a warm and friendly welcome awaiting you. They pride themselves on providing a first class service, whether you have just dropped in for a friendly drink or you are on your wedding night, the hospitality will always be the same.
There are nine en-suite bedrooms, decorated delightfully to add to the atmosphere that the building gives and with the choice of either a double or a twin room you can rest easy and peacefully, ready to tackle the next day.
As well as en-suite, all the rooms come with tea making facillities, colour televisions, telephones, trouser presses, hairdryers and a clock radio.
Eating in the conservatory restaurant, you will encounter two exceptional experiences. Firstly your eye's will be overcome with the stunning view that can be seen up and down the valley, and secondly your pallet will be amazed with the tantalizing tastes that top chef Andy Stephens conjures up.
Andy personally creates his own menu's whilst priding himself on the fact that it is all home-cooked food and so popular with the guests, that early reservations are strongly advisable.
There are two newly renovated bar area's, each serving local and even some more exotic beverages.
In the main bar, the fun never stops, whether it is local artists or perhaps you would like to have a go at the old Karaoke, or even tax your brains and enter the hotel quiz.
If this is all to much for you, then there is always the hotel lounge bar where you can sit and have a quiet drink.
You can also just sit and relax in the comfortable surroundings, sitting in Chesterfield suites with a tea or coffee soaking up the peace and tranquility.
